Payel Sarkar, the Tollywood diva, has always mesmerized the Bengali movie lovers with her skily work in commercial flicks. But she has never drifted to parallel films or so called art films. Earlier she has shown her superb acting in parallel film like Bibar though.
And now after series of commercial successful films, she is once again ready to come back with a parallel film. In Arindam Chakraborty’s not-yet-tittled next, which is going to be a so, she is the only star actress. Other actors in the film are Abir Chatterjee, who is paired opposite to her and Rudranil Ghosh.
"The film is about a film director, who has earned enough fame by making remake of South Indian films but struggles to get a producer for his own original script", said Payel. She further revealed that, in the film she plays the role of Tithi, an actress who works only for parallel film.
We tried to know if this film is actually about Raj Chakraborty. The commercially successful director, recently in one of his once-directed TV comedy show, justified remaking of films saying ’ “theater personnel also stages Shakepear’s work”. She heated out saying, “no way!”.
