After three consecutive huge success music composer cum lyricist cum singer, Anupam Roy has finally entered the club of solo album. The engineering graduate on 10th of this month launched his much anticipated album ‘Durbine Chokh Rakhbona’, at city mall.
Apart from the delighted singer, director Srijit Mukherji, Chandrabindoo’s Upal and other celebs were present at the launch function. Recalling from memory Upal said that it was him who has asked Anupam to quit his engineering job at Bangalore and try his luck in the Bengali music industry.
The album is produced by Shree Venkatesh Films, one of the leading production houses in Kolkata. Interestingly they were the producer in all his previous films, Autograph, Cholo Paltai and 22 se Srabon, which were blockbuster hit. According to the producers the album was ready long back but its launch was delayed due to 22 se Srabon’s release.
The producers believe that this album is going to rock as its quintessential music will easily touch anyone’s heart. They are confident that its romanticism will surely make it the best gift on this coming valentine day. Apart from the wonderful songs its specially designed cover will surely draw everyone’s attention.
The audience present over there were not disappointed either as Anupam himself sang all the eight songs the album content. Out of the eight songs ‘Beche thakar gaan’ and ‘Amake amar moto thakte dao’ are from his previous films. Along with the original songs there are also remix version by Shomi Chatterjee.
Can this album meet up to the maker’s expectation? Will it receive critical appreciation? Will it taste success? Well only time will give its answers. Till then wait and watch.
