At time when film personalities are drifting from Tollywood towards Bollywood, controversial actress Rakhi Sawant is doing the vice versa. She is all set ready to play the lead role in the Bengali version of The Dirty Picture. Not-yet-titled the film will be directed by Satabdi Roy and Tapas Pal. Earlier Rakhi has done an item number for Satabdi Roy’s Om Shanti Om. Recently the director duo met with Rakhi in Delhi and offered her the character, on which she instantly agreed.
Confident Rakhi has proposed the star cast also. She wants Victor Banerjee in place of Nasiruddin Shah, Jeet for the character played by Tushar Kapoor and for the role played by Emran Hashmi, Prasenjit Chatterjee. Apart from the star cast she has suggested the name of the music director. She wants Bappi da to score the film. Interestingly Bappi da was the one who has given music in the original, The Dirty picture.
Questions are will she be able to lewd the bengali audiences or will she succed to fill the shoes once wore by Vidya Balan. Well only time can give its answer.
