Getting out from the conventional roles of being girlfriend or love interest of the main protagonist where very little has to prove as an actor, Tollywood heart throb Subhasree Ganguly will now be seen as the protagonist in a women centric film, titled Megh Roddur. It has been reported that Sudarshana Basu and Surajeet Saha directed this film is inspired from Julia Roberts starrer Noting Hill. Megh Roddur will also be the first occasion where Subhasree is not paired up with his real life star Dev. This time new comer Palash has been casted opposite of her. Drawing inspiration from Tamil or Bollywood films is quite normal for Tollywood but from Hollywood it is unusual. However only when the film is out it will be clear that the film is pure coy paste or just have done some inspiration from the famous film.
